Goals Related to Waste Treatment

  • 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
    Manage air and waste to reduce the negative environmental impact of cities
    By 2030, reduce cities' negative per capita environmental impact, including by paying special attention to air quality and the management of general waste and other waste.
  • 12. Responsible Consumption and Production
    Reduce emissions to air, water, and soil through appropriate management of chemicals and waste.
    By 2020, in accordance with agreed upon international frameworks, achieve environmentally appropriate management of chemicals and all wastes throughout product life cycles and significantly reduce the release of chemicals and wastes into the air, water, and soil in order to minimize negative effects on human health and the environment.
